Hermes Herbag 40 GM 2-in-1 Bag. This Hermes Herbag is from 2001. It has never been carried and still has the original price tag attached. It features thick toile canvas, vache leather and palladium hardware. Two interchangeable bags. It has a top handle as well as a detachable shoulder strap. It was originally purchased by a male but is a unisex bag. Purchased at a store called Todd's in San Antonio, Texas in 2001. Todd's was a men's clothier in North Star Mall founded by the Penner family in 1933 and one of only a handful of department stores that carried Hermes. There is one mark on the exterior of the larger bag that looks like it can easily be removed. There are one or two minor surface scratches on the top handle and some marks in the leather on the back where the padlock is attached. The one exterior mark and the minor scratches occurred from being stored without a dust cover and moved from time to time. The original protective plastic still covers each end of the metal rod. The larger bag measures approx. 15.75" x 15.75" x 6". The smaller bag measures approx. 15" across the base x 13" at tallest height on back x 5". Made in France.
